This record-breaking number highlights the immense growth and potential of air travel in a country with a population of over 142 crores. However, these figures also show that there’s still room to grow, as only around 5 lakh people flew domestically that day.

• Air India Express: 80.4%
• Alliance Air: 81%
• Akasa Air: 91.7%
