Thousands of Tourists Visit North Sikkim for the First Time This Season

On December 15, 2024, North Sikkim welcomed over 1,000 tourists, marking the first significant turnout of the season. A total of 1,005 tourists, including both domestic and foreign visitors, arrived in North Sikkim, accompanied by 188 vehicles.

Among the domestic tourists, online bookings led with 592 male, 275 female, and 69 child visitors. A total of 170 vehicles were used by these online domestic tourists. Additionally, offline bookings brought in 23 male and 2 female tourists, with 11 vehicles used by this group.

Foreign tourists also contributed to the high numbers, with 32 male, 2 female, and 1 child visitor, supported by 7 vehicles.

This strong turnout signals a positive start to the season.
