It is the end of September. Time, when hills around Darjeeling are proudly standing in the sky and people can admire their beauty after the monsoon passed...so simple. so calm. I space traveled yesterday in my thoughts and imagined myself enjoying that view while I was packing the guidebook. Yesterday I sent it to one teacher, who is planning to develop rural tourism in one village in Slovakia. I was thinking about all the everyday activities you - people in rural areas - were doing and that are so necessary for human life and interesting for visitors. I thought, that these activities collected in the book should provide her the better insight into the rural tourism concept. I imagined how refreshed, stable, liberating, sustainable, responsible, slow, transformational concept rural villages all around the world will bring to the light once the COVID will not be the red light anymore. How common everyday life and activities in villages will be the reason for traveling. How people will feel the desire to come back to roots even more than before. Touch the wet ground. Cut and dry the fruit. Prepare the tea. Sit by the fire and sing. How they will come to one place without the checklist and will just be there. How the desire for inner stability will outvoice the destructive voice repeating "you haven´t seen/done/traveled enough". No one knows when and how the situation will continue. But the fact is, that the rural life was, is, and will be. Have a beautiful day and enjoy the video that will take you "home" :-)
