Lava and Loleygaon are two quaint mountain hamlets in Darjeeling district under Kalimpong block and surrounded by forests. Altitude of Lava is 7,700ft while Loleygaon (also known as Kaffer village) is at a lower altitude of 5,500ft. Since they are close to each other (about one hour driving distance between the two), most tourists make a combined visits to these two places. You can reach via Kalimpong or Garubathan. If you are visiting Kalimpong, you can make a great day trip to Lava and Loleygaon from there.

Situated in a picturesque location at a distance of 92km from Gangtok, Namchi is a tourist hot spot in Sikkim. The place offers panoramic views of Darjeeling, Kalimpong hills and other snow-tipped mountains with vast stretches of beautiful valleys.
The area rose to popularity recently with the er****on of the world's tallest statue of Guru Padmasambhava, the patron saint of Sikkim. Namchi is known for its Buddhist monasteries, high mountain peaks and unmatched view points. The town is at a distance of 90km from Siliguri.
The main tourist attractions of Namchi are the Namchi Monastery, the Rolong Monastery, Samdruptse Hill which is a dormant volcano, the Tendong Hill, the Rock Garden, Doling Gompa, the Ngadak Monastery, Temi Tea Garden and the Char Dham.

Its main attraction is the breathtaking view it offers of the Khangchendzonga and surrounding ranges, as well as the easy access it provides to tourist spots in the area.Pemayangste monastery is less than a kilometre from Pelling, while a 40 minute walk on the hill opposite the monastery takes you to Sanga Choling monastery built in 1697, one of the first in the state. It is located at an average elevation of 1,250 metres (4,101 ft).[2] The town is the headquarters of the Kalimpong subdivision, a part of the district of Darjeeling Kalimpong is known for its educational institutions, many of which were established during the British colonial period.[4] It used to be a gateway in the trade between Tibet and India before China's annexation of Tibet and the Sino-Indian War.

Mirik
Mirik is a picturesque tourist spot nestled in the serene hills of Darjeeling district in West Bengal, India.[1] The name Mirik comes from the Lepcha words Mir-Yok meaning "place burnt by fire".
Mirik has become a popular tourist destination for its climate, natural beauty and easy accessibility. The centre of all attraction is the Sumendu lake, surrounded by a garden on one side and pine trees on the other and linked together by an arching footbridge called Indreni Pull (Rainbow Bridge). A 3.5-km-long road encircles the lake and is used for walks with the view of Kangchenjungaon the far horizon. Boating on the quaint shikaras and pony riding are available.
