Our Vice-President Mr. Tapas Kumar Das , a Central Govt. employee under Ministry of Railways, is going to attend the most prestigious and the hardest mountaineering programme in India; "Search And Rescue" at Nehru Institute of Mountaineering , Uttarkashi, Uttrakhand.
We are very glad to have a such senior official administrator in our governing body who is not only the honorary ruler of Himalayan Disaster Response Foundation but also tremendously enthusiastic mountaineer at his 40s.
Proud of you

Have you ever stayed in our Alaska Snowbird Hut? It's beautifully situated in the Talkeetna Mountains on the northern edge of the Snowbird Glacier. The GPS coordinates are: 61 degrees 51.506 North by 149 degrees 12.113 West—if you can find it, you can stay in it!

This is from Stacy Lynn Pritts () who hiked in some supplies for the hut and found this watercolor picture of the hut and the glacier tacked to the wall inside. Thanks for sharing it with us!
