Photo by .nikhil / To protect Suvarnadurga, 3 forts named Goa fort (not to be confused with Goa state), Kanakdurga and Fattegad were built on the coast near Harne village in Maharashtra. Amongst these, Goa fort is comparatively large and is still in good shape.

The area of the fort is around 5 hectares. It is not known when the fort was built. Kanakdurga is built on a huge rock.

There are rock steps to ascend the fort. Some ramparts do exist, with water tanks on the top. There is a lighthouse on the fort. To the left side of the steps is a strong bastion built in black rock. The rock on which the fort is built has been carved out for the same.

Photo by / At 63 kilometers (39 miles) in length, the Baltoro Glacier is one of the longest non-polar glaciers in the world. It’s located in the Gilgit-Baltistan region of Pakistan, home to some of the world’s highest mountains. The glacier runs through part of the region’s Karakoram mountain range, near a mountain known as K2, highest mountain in the region at 8,611 meters (28,251 feet). Three other nearby mountains within 20 kilometers all top 8,000 meters as well.

Photo by .photographer / Built in the year 1754, Safdarjung Tomb is the last garden tomb constructed in the late Mughal Empire Style. It is the sandstone and Marble mausoleum of the Mughal statesman Mirza Muqim Abul Mansur Khan who was popularly known as Safdarjung. This monumental tomb seems to have an architectural inspiration drawn from the Humayun tomb, whereas for its construction slabs from the tomb of Abdul Rahim Khankhana were used.

Photo by / Ratti Gali Lake is an alpine glacial lake located in Azad Kashmir’s Neelum Valley. It is elevated at an altitude of 12,130 ft above sea level and 18 kilometers (kms) far from Dowarian village to Ratti Gali Lake.
Some 16 kms are covered on jeep followed by a two-hour trekking.

Photo by / The Safdarjung Tomb also referred to as 'Safdarjung Ka Maqbara' is a garden tomb in New Delhi, India, made of marble and sandstone and built in late 18th century as mausoleum of Safdarjung, a statesman who remained the Wazir ul-Hindustan (Prime Minister of India) during the reign of Ahmad Shah Bahadur. This mausoleum built by Safdarjung’s son Nawab Shujaud Daula remains the last monumental garden tomb depicting Mughal architectural style. Located at the junction of Safdarjung Road and Aurobindo Marg (Road) in New Delhi in close proximity to Safdarjung Airport, this historical monument has remained a popular tourist spot attracting both Indian and foreign tourists visiting the capital city of India.
