Tariq Javeed - Veteran actor, director, producer, and writer is one of the pioneering figures of Kashmiri television and theatre. Born on 4 May 1954 in Shaheed Ganj, Srinagar, he began his artistic journey in 1969 through stage and radio.
After the launch of Doordarshan Kendra Srinagar in 1973, he became one of the early faces of Kashmiri television. He later worked in Mumbai in theatre, television, and films.
He is best remembered for his iconic role as Sikander in the Kashmiri serial Insaaf, along with appearances in Gul Gulshan Gulfaam, Zooni, Fassad, Inquilab, and other productions.
With over five decades in the arts, Tariq Javeed has contributed greatly to Kashmiri television, theatre, cinema, and cultural heritage, inspiring generations of artists.
