The Kashmir Great Lakes Trek known as the most beautiful trek in India (Indiahikes.com) said to validate Kashmir’s mythical status as heaven on earth (affirmative!)
This Trek is classified as Moderate to Difficult with a
Duration of approximately 8 days
Highest altitude 13,715ft around 4200m
We start 75km north east of Srinagar a d believe me.when I say every day is new, with a 360 degree panorama of wild, rugged mountains, rolling meadows and turquoise alpine lakes. You can easily feel you are in Switzerland.
There are steep ascents and descents and long days exploring 4 different valleys and mesmerising views of 7 alpine lakes. Magical sunrises and sunsets, ever changing landscapes, animals, an insight into local culture of mountain people, alpine lakes to cross, camp by, fly fish in and swim in soothing tired feet.

Vishnusar
Krishnasar
Gadsar
Satsar
Twin lakes of Nandkol and Gangabal Lake.
The best time is over summer July to September. Permits are to be obtained in advance and experienced guides and horseman are a must. That's where I come I to arrange all these details for you.
The trek commences from the town of Sonmarg and culminates at Naranag.
