The Legend of the Name
Local lore says the beach was named after seven Japanese commandos who lived on the island in isolation for a period after World War II. You’ll often find a large wooden sign on the shore perfect for photos to commemorate the history!
Top Highlights & Activities
The "Instagram" Swing: There is a famous rope swing tied to a coconut tree where you can get that classic tropical beach shot with the ocean in the background.
Snorkeling: Just a few meters off the shore, you’ll find vibrant coral reefs. It is a common spot to see sea turtles (Hawksbill) grazing on the sea grass, so keep your mask ready!
Beach Volleyball: Unlike the rocky lagoons, this beach is wide and flat, often hosting friendly volleyball games among travelers.
Refreshments: There is a small beach bar serving fresh buko (coconut) water, fruit shakes, and even cocktails. It’s the best place to relax with a drink under a palm tree.
