जुन्नर मधील जीवधन, चावंड, हडसर या भागामध्ये आहे,

कुकडेश्र्वर मंदिर - एका दगडामध्ये कोरलेल हे मंदिर असून मंदिराचे शिल्प सुंदर दिसते. हे 12 व्या शतकात बांधले गेले असे मानले जाते आणि हेमाडपंथी स्थापत्यशास्त्रातील आहे. मंदिराच्या आतील व बाहेरील भिंतींवर छान कोरीव काम केलेले आहे. येथूनच कुकडी नदीचा उगम होतो.

Lipan art / “Lippan” ( Mud and Mirror Work) is a traditional mural craft of Kutch, Gujarat, India. Lippan or mud-washing using materials locally available in the region like a mixture of clay and camel dung keeps the interiors of the houses cool. Here are a few designs of Lippan art done on the houses of Gandhi Nu Gam , these houses are known as Bhunga (made of mud) and it remains cool inside during scorching heat and warm during cold weather.

Chhatedi, Bhuj

If Chhatedi was in any other country it would be marketed as a major tourist attraction. But not in India! But now you know about Chhatedi so do include it in your to do list for Bhuj. Also, I was there at sunrise and I highly recommend it.

The word Chhatedi derives from Chhatri which means umbrella after the shape of the domes of the monument. Chhatris are popular all over Rajasthan and Gujarat. The Royal cenotaphs are usually associated with the resting places of the rulers of the region. Locals treat the structures with respect and they expect the same from the tourists. The Chhatedis at Bhuj were constructed by the Jadeja rules in 18th century. Architecture of Chattedi is mix of Mughal and Rajputana style, carved in sand stone. Few chattris are devastated but still beautiful site to visit.

Ashtavinayaka means “eight Ganeshas” in Sanskrit. Ganesh is the deity of unity, prosperity & learning which removes obstacles. Visiting the temples of Ashtavinayaka refers to a pilgrimage to the eight Ganesh temples in Maharashtra state of India that house eight distinct idols of Ganesha, in a pre-ascertained sequence. This trip covers the eight ancient holy temples of Ganesha which are situated around Pune. Each of these temples has its own individual legend and history, as distinct from each other as the murtis in each temple.
