One can visit Matheran all round the year
Garbet point ascend is one the popular routes to Matheran
The trail starts from Bhivpuri station and winds along the Bhoj reservoir slowly ascending to Sagachiwadi and Garbet plateau before final ascend.
Camping at Garbet plateau or near the Bhivpuri lake is an experience in itself especially during full moons.
We will be walking with bright moonlight as Kartik Pornima is on 4 / 5 November.

Move to Dasturi point, have breakfast
Take Taxi to Neral from Dasturi and take return train to Mumbai
We plan to reach Neral by 10am
Itinerary
Board 0926 pm CSMT Karjat fast local. Reaching Bhivpuri 1112 pm. Check timing at your station in mindicator. After the introduction and orientation, we start our trek to Matheran. Reach Garbet plateau and rest for an hour. Experience sunrise from Garbet point and move to Dasturi. Have breakfast at Dasturi and take a shared taxi to Neral. We should come back to Neral by 10am.

Please bring 3 liter water, ORS, fruits, ready to eat snacks, torch with spare battery, light sweater or fleece jacket and bedding (optional).
