Good morning...
While Periyar dam received 371 cusecs, Vaigai dam recorded an inflow of 1,005 cusecs. Storage level in Periyar dam stood at 125.60 feet and Vaigai dam 57.09 feet. Discharge from Periyar and Vaigai dams was 1,372 and 960 cusecs respectively.....

Today's affairs...
The inflow to Periyar was 3,853 cusecs while the discharge was 2,000 cusecs and the inflow to Vaigai was 2,769 cusecs against the discharge of 960 cusecs. According to Public Works Department (PWD) sources, 900 cusecs outflow is for irrigation of double crop areas and 60 cusecs for supplying drinking water to Madurai city.
