There is an ancient Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy temple here. It is said that Padmavati was married to Sri Venkateswara Swamy here. As a proof of that, there is a need for Amma's four flours. Since 1967, the management of this temple has been under the aegis of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam. A fair is held for Amma every year for 18 days. It starts between August 22-26 and ends on September 11-12. It is the belief of the devotees that if you worship this goddess, unmarried people will get married and childless people will get children.
