The Fourth evening on Wednesday witnessed Sri Kalyana Venkateswara in Bakasura Vadha Alankaram on Sarva Bhoopala Vahanam.

The celestial procession commenced at 7pm and marched ahead four mada streets amidst grand gala show by dance troupes.

On the second day of Brahmotsavam at Kapila Theertham, Sri Kapileswara Swamy shined atop Surya Prabha Vahanam and blessed His devotees on the bright Sunny Monday.

KALYANA VENKATESWARA RIDES CHINNA SESHA

Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy took out a celestial ride on Chinna Sesha Vahanam on the second day of the ongoing annual Brahmotsavam at Srinivasa Mangapuram on Monday.

– Extensive arrangements for Brahmotsavams: TTD EO

The annual Brahmotsavams of Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy at Srinivasa Mangapuram commenced in a grand religious manner on Sunday with the sacred Dhwajarohanam ceremony held between 8.15 a.m. and 8.35 a.m. in the auspicious Kumbha Lagnam.

The ceremony was conducted as per Vaikhanasa Agama traditions amidst chanting of Vedic hymns by priests, auspicious musical instruments and continuous chanting of Govinda Nama by devotees.

Earlier, Tiruchi Utsavam was held from 6.30 a.m. to 8.15 a.m.,and later the priests performed Vishwaksena Aradhana, Vastu Homam, Garuda Linga Homam, Garuda Pratishta and Raksha Bandhanam.

Dhwajarohanam was performed by Kankanabhattar Sri Balaji Rangacharyulu.

Speaking to the media, on the occasion the TTD Executive Officer Sri M. Ravichandra stated that the Brahmotsavams commenced with Dhwajarohanam and will be held up to 16 in a grand manner.

He said elaborate arrangements have been made for the convenience of devotees visiting the temple during the festival period.

He informed that Garuda Seva will be observed on February 12, Swarna Rathotsavam on February 13, Rathotsavam on February 15 and Chakrasnanam on February 16.

In view of the expected heavy influx of devotees on Garuda Seva day, special arrangements have been made to ensure smooth crowd management and safety.

Kapileswara Swamy Brahmotsavams begins with Dhwajarohanam

The annual Brahmotsavams of Sri Kapileswara Swamy at Tirupati commenced in a grand and traditional manner on Sunday morning with the sacred Dhwajarohanam ceremony.

Amidst the chanting of Vedic hymns by the temple priests, resonating conch sounds and continuous chanting of the sacred names of Lord Shiva, the Dhwajarohanam was performed as per Saiva Agama Shastra.

In the divine presence of the Panchamurthis — Sri Somaskanda Murthy, Sri Kamakshi Ammavaru, Sri Vinayaka Swamy, Sri Chandikeswara Swamy, and Sri Subramanya Swamy along with His consorts Sri Valli and Sri Devasena — the holy flag bearing the image of Nandi was hoisted on the Dhwajasthambham at 6.05 a.m. in the auspicious Makara Lagnam.

As part of the Dhwajarohanam ritual, the flag hoisting was followed by Abhishekam to the Dhwajasthambham, Bali, Naivedyam, Deeparadhana and other traditional Upacharas.

As per the temple tradition, a special Abhishekam to the Dhwajasthambham is performed only once a year on the day of Dhwajarohanam during the Brahmotsavams.

Mantras from the Rigveda, Yajurveda, Samaveda and Atharvana Veda were also chanted.

The entire programme was conducted under the guidance of Kankanabhattar Sri Uday Swamy Gurukul.

Later, Pallaki Utsavam of Sri Somasakanda Murthy (Lord Shiva, Goddess Parvati and Lord Subramanya Swamy) and Sri Kamakshi Ammavaru was held.

The deities were taken in a grand procession through the streets of Tirupati, blessing the devotees.

TTD Executive Officer Sri M. Ravichandra, Joint Executive Officer Sri V. Veerabrahmam, CVSO Sri K.V. Muralikrishna, Temple Special Officer Sri D. Phanikumar Naidu, Temple Superintendent Sri K.P. Chandrasekhar, temple priests and other officials participated in the programme.

Additional EO reviews arrangements

The TTD Additional Executive Officer, Sri Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary, on Wednesday conducted a review meeting at Padmavathi Guest House in Tirumala regarding the arrangements for Sri Ramakrishna Theertha Mukkoti scheduled to be held on February 01.

Speaking on the occasion, the Additional EO instructed the officials to make all necessary arrangements for the Ramakrishna Theertha Mukkoti, one of the most important torrent festivals held in Tirumala.

He directed the engineering officials to set up shamianas, make announcements through radio broadcasting, and install display boards for the convenience of devotees and also emphasized that TTD security personnel and police should work in coordination.

The Additional EO reviewed arrangements related to security, Annaprasadam distribution, drinking water, medical and health services, and forest department coordination for the benefit of devotees.

He instructed that Srivari Sevaks be deployed for the distribution of Annaprasadam to devotees at Papavinasanam.

No permission:

Meanwhile pilgrims who are suffering from obesity, asthma, heart-related ailments, or other chronic diseases, as well as small children, will not be permitted.

Devotees will be allowed to proceed to the Theertham only after medical screening at Papavinasanam.

To handle emergencies, two ambulances and four medical camps will be set up to provide immediate medical assistance to devotees.

As private vehicles and two-wheelers will not be allowed to Papavinasanam on February 01, APSRTC will operate buses for transporting pilgrims from Gogarbham Dam Point to Papavinasanam.

Devotees will be permitted to visit the theertha only between 5 AM and 12 noon on February 01.

The annual Float Festival (Teppotsavam) of Sri Govindaraja Swamy Temple in Tirupati, commenced in a grand manner on Monday evening.

On the first day, from 6.30 pm to 8.00 pm, Sri Kodandarama Swamy graced the finely decked float in the waters of temple pushkarini.

Later, the deity was taken in a procession along the four mada streets of the temple, blessing the devotees.

On this occasion, devotional programmes such as bhajans, Harikatha and music concerts were organised under the auspices of the TTD Hindu Dharma Prachara Parishad and Annamacharya Project.
