You’ll walk around the Ka’bah seven times. But do you know what you’re looking at?
Most pilgrims don’t. They complete Tawaf with their eyes fixed on the Ka’bah and walk away without understanding what each part is. The Black Stone (Al-Hajar al-Aswad)
👉The stone that descended from Jannah. It rests in the south-eastern corner, the exact point where Tawaf begins and ends. The Prophet ﷺ kissed it. Those who cannot reach it raise their hand toward it and say “Bismillah, Allahu Akbar.” The Yemeni Corner (Al-Rukn al-Yamani)
👉The corner facing Yemen. It is Sunnah to touch it with the right hand when passing. Between this corner and the Black Stone, pilgrims recite: “Rabbana atina fid-dunya hasanah wa fil-akhirati hasanah wa qina ‘adhaban-nar.” This is one of dozens of du’as you’ll want to know before you go. Our Umrah flashcards have every du’a, every step right in your hand when you need it. Comment “umrah” or go to our bio to get them The Hateem (Hijr Isma’eel)
👉The curved marble wall beside the Ka’bah. Originally part of the Ka’bah itself. The Prophet ﷺ said whoever prays inside it has prayed inside the Ka’bah. The Multazam
👉The wall between the Ka’bah door and the Black Stone. Maqam Ibraheem
👉The glass enclosure containing the stone Ibraheem عليه السلام stood upon while building the Ka’bah. His footprints remain visible. After Tawaf, two rak’ahs are prayed behind it. Every corner. Every wall. All of it carries meaning. Learn it before you go, save this and share with something going for Umrah 🕋
