ನಮ್ಮ ಕುಡ್ಲ ಸಿಟಿಯನ್ನು 13 ಹೆಸರುಗಳಿಂದ ಕರೆಯಬಹುದು ನಿಮಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತಾ ಮಾರಾಯ್ರೆ. ಕನ್ನಡದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಂಗಳೂರು, ಮ್ಯಾಂಗಲೋರ್(ಇಂಗ್ಲೀಷ್), ಛತ್ರಪುರ(ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತ), ಕೊಡಿಯಾಲ(ಕೊಂಕಣಿ), ಕುಡ್ಲ(ತುಳು), ಮೈಕಾಲ (ಬ್ಯಾರಿ), ಮಂಗಳಾಪುರಂ(ಮಲಯಾಳಂ), ಮ್ಯಾಂಗ್ರೋಥ್(ಗ್ರೀಕ್), ಮಗ್ನೂರ(ಟೊಲೆಮಿ ಬರಹಗಾರ ಕೊಟ್ಟ ಹೆಸರು),ಮಂಡಗೋರ್( ಏರ್ಯಾನ್ ರೋಮನ್ ಬರಹಗಾರ), ಮಂಗಳಾಪುರ( ಏಳನೇ ಶತಮಾನದ ತಾಮ್ರಪತ್ರ),ಮಂಜರೂನ್ (ಇಬ್ನ್ ಬಟೂಟ1342), ಮಂಡಚೋರ್ (ಇಬ್ನ್ ಬಟೂಟ1942) ಈ ಎಲ್ಲ ಹೆಸರುಗಳಿಂದ ನಮ್ಮ ಕುಡ್ಲ ಸಿಟಿಯನ್ನು ಕರೆಯಲಾಗುತ್ತಿತ್ತು. ನಿಜಕ್ಕೂ ಗ್ರೇಟ್ ಮಾರಾಯ್ರೆ.
