The trek starts from Chaumasi village, 30 km from Mandani valley and 50 km from Guptakashi in the Kedarnath valley. The route passes through forests, meadows, streams, and rocky terrain.

Day-wise route:
*Day 1: Chaumasi village to Chipi Kharak - 8 km, 6 hrs*
*Day 2: Chipi Kharak to Devtal Base Camp - 8 km, 6-7 hrs*
*Day 3: Devtal Base Camp to Mandani Mata - 8 km, approx 8 hrs*
*Day 4: Rest day and explore Mandani valley*
*Day 5: Mandani valley to Kham Bugyal - 10 km, 8 hrs*
*Day 6: Kham Bugyal to Chaumasi village - 12 km, 8 hrs*
