Was driving back from Mumbai last week when this Jeep hoarding caught my eye. 📍
Nothing fancy. Just a clean board with a QR code in the corner.
Got me thinking about the boards I've put up over 14 years — MTS, Dish TV, Xiaomi. Every one I installed myself.
That Xiaomi mask board? That's me standing under it. 👇 We ran that as a public interest campaign during COVID, and I personally installed 20+ boards across Nagpur with the Nagpur Municipal Corporation.
Now look at them together. Back then, a hoarding had one job — get seen. Now, that QR code does the selling.
Which hoarding do you still remember? Drop it in the comments. 👇

Two blind students. No scribe. Just a keyboard — and they scored 91% and 73.8% in board exams. 👏
Sanath Deshpande and Shaurya Gawli from Pune's Niwant Andh Mukta Vikasalaya didn't wait for the world to make things easier for them. They typed every single exam answer themselves — using an app called Swalekhan, a Marathi typing tutor built for visually impaired students.
78 audio lessons. 2 months of practice. Years of discipline.
And the result? Independence. Dignity. 91%.
This app was built by a family — Meera Badve started Niwant in 1996 from her home in Pune. Her daughter Uma and son-in-law Anand continued the mission and built Swalekhan with Josh Software. Today, over 3,500 visually impaired students have been empowered through this institution.
No AI. No hype. Just the right technology reaching the right hands.
This is what innovation actually looks like.

He had a Gold Medal in CA, a degree from MIT, and every reason to stay abroad.

He came back to Pune. And built a ₹6,455 crore global company from here.

S.B. Ravi Pandit, Co-founder and Chairman of KPIT Technologies, passed away on the morning of May 8, 2026, in Pune.
He was 71.
KPIT — founded in 1990 — today operates in 15 countries, has clocked 23 consecutive quarters of growth, and its software powers millions of vehicles worldwide in autonomous driving, EV tech, and clean mobility.

But that's only half the story.

He was the only private sector voice in India's National Green Hydrogen Mission. He drove India's first indigenous Sodium-Ion battery research. He co-founded Pune International Centre and Janwani. He served as President of MCCIA. He chaired the Research Council at CEERI. He was a Fellow of the Indian National Science Academy. He co-authored an award-winning book on innovation.
And he did all of it — quietly. Without noise. Without ego.
Pune doesn't produce people like this often.

Tag someone who knew him or was inspired by his work. His story deserves to be told wider.

🙏 Om Shanti — Ravi Pandit | 1951 – May 8, 2026

aper Boat — They sold memories, not drinks.
When Hector Beverages launched Paper Boat in 2013, everyone said they were crazy. You can't take on Coca-Cola and PepsiCo with small-batch ethnic drinks.
But they weren't trying to beat Coke. They were trying to take you back to your childhood kitchen.
Aam Panna. Jaljeera. Kokum. Thandai.
Drinks your grandmother made — now in a pouch, with a story on the pack.
That emotional connection built a brand no giant could easily replicate.
💡 Randeep R, our Core Group Member and National Marketing Manager at Luker Electric Technologies, puts it best:
"Emotion is the only moat that can't be copied."

At World of Marketing, we believe real marketing thinking shouldn't be locked behind boardroom doors. That's the vision this community was built on.

Here's a stat that should change how every marketer thinks about content 👇
47% of buyers consume 3–5 pieces of content before agreeing to talk to sales.
That means your blog, your LinkedIn posts, your videos, your case studies — they are not "nice to have." They are your first impression. Your pitch. Your credibility check.

💡 Shivalika Raj, Core Group Member at World of Marketing, puts it perfectly:

"Your content isn't a formality — it's your first sales meeting. Make it count."
Is your brand's content doing enough of the heavy lifting?

Not all innovation is progress.
Some of it is just improvement.

Clayton Christensen, Harvard professor and author of The Innovator’s Dilemma, is the mind behind the concept of disruptive innovation — one of the most influential ideas in modern business strategy.

His insight was simple, but powerful:
real disruption doesn’t refine the system, it replaces it.

We’re seeing that play out today:

Calls becoming conversations
Funnels becoming journeys
Products becoming platforms

The shift isn’t incremental.
It’s structural.

Good to see perspectives like Sreeja Raveendran bringing this thinking into real-world ex*****on.

That’s where ideas start to matter.
