The Dodital Trek is one of Uttarakhand’s most beautiful and peaceful Himalayan treks, located in the Uttarkashi district. This trek is a perfect blend of spirituality, nature, and adventure.
Dodital is a pristine high-altitude freshwater lake, surrounded by dense oak, pine, and deodar forests. According to Hindu mythology, Dodital is believed to be the birthplace of Lord Ganesha, which makes this trek sacred as well as scenic.
The trail takes you through charming villages, forest paths, open meadows, and snow-covered sections (in winter), offering breathtaking views of the Garhwal Himalayas. The calm atmosphere, reflection of mountains in the lake, and ringing temple bells create a deeply peaceful experience.
