OTR Nashik Ride | 1-Mar-26 | Day-2

Day 2 of our ride started on a lazy and chill note. 4 of our riders woke up early and went for the Ramshej Fort Trek. The other 8 lazy riders (including me) kept lounging without any agenda except to just chill.

We gingerly started to move at 8:30 am, got ready, packed & loaded our bags on our bikes and finally moved out of our stay at 9:45 am.

After a short 20 kms ride, we stopped for breakfast at Om Sainath Restaurant. Menu was the same - Misal Pav, but with a welcome addition of Poha and hot tea. The perfect Maharashtrian Breakfast.

It was also the perfect opportunity to create an encore pose! Tejas, Divyang, Aditya and myself were meeting together exactly an year after our OTR Ellora-Grishneshwar ride. A special collage indeed.

The Patel Brothers - Yash & Anirudh took their drone out and shot couple of beautiful videos! It took a lot of time to set up those videos but they were 100% worth it.

I also took a customary bike formation video. Traditions must be religiously followed you see!

We re-entered Gujarat at 12:50 pm and fueled up for our ride back home. I wanted to take another customary group selfie but our 2 Insurer riders - Tejas and Vivek wanted to spend some intimate moments together. They never turned up. We wasted 20 minutes waiting for them and finally took a selfie of 10 of us. Parthav bid us farewell here and rode towards Silvassa.

And then an exhilarating speed ride began! Myself and Aditya on his Himalayan 450 rode 133 kms non-stop across the Ghats section in 2 hours to reach another traditional highway pit-stop. And that's the McDonald's at Kamrej near Surat. I had 3 burgers along with a drink and fries. Yes, you read it correctly. 3 burgers!

Home was 99 kms away, I rode nice and steady all the way. Enroute, I stopped for a short breather at Karjan.

I reached home at 6 pm after another successful OTR Ride. Total distance covered by me was 668 kms. Everyone else also got back safely.

Thanks to all my Riders for being such a sport and foe the wonderful ride. I am sure we would be riding together very soon.

Till the time we meet again...

OTR Nashik Ride | 28-Feb-26 | Day-1

This was the 2nd OTR Group Ride to Nashik and 11 riders signed up. The first one was in March 2024.

6 of us started from Vadodara at 5 am, 3 more riders joined from Bharuch and 2 from Surat at Navsari. Parthav from Silvassa was supposed to join us directly at Nashik.

11 of us enjoyed a sumptuous breakfast at Madhi Ni Khamni in Navsari and had a great time chatting up on a sunny and pleasant morning.

We kept chugging along till 12:30 pm and reached the outskirts of Nashik. We took 2 breaks enroute - one for watermelon hydration and other for petrol.

Lunch had to be the quintessential Maharashtrian dish - Misal Pav and all of us thoroughly enjoyed this iconic item. We had a long relaxing break here after our ride through the first half of the day.

We reached our accommodation at 2:30 pm, had a refreshing bath and quickly settled in for some much deserved rest. This was the 2nd time I was staying here and it's a nice little place located right next to the Ramshej Fort, 20 kms from Nashik.

At 4:30 pm, 7 of us rode towards the Trimbakeshwar Jyotirling and the other 5 (including me) rode to the Gondeshwar Mahadev Temple which was built in 12th Century AD. It features stunning architecture and the Sunset hues provided a beautiful backdrop. It was long in my list and I was delighted to have finally visited it.

While riding back I bought the famous Nashik Chivda which was a special demand from my mother and Thecha for my family as well.

Vivek and I also enjoyed another Maharashtrian icon - the classic Vada Pav along with hot tea. How could I leave Nashik without enjoying this!

All of us got back together at 8 pm and enjoyed a long bakar session along with drinks and snakes till about midnight and then had a fantastic meal of spicy Chicken Curry with rotis. It was the perfect end to a fabulous day spent riding, exploring, chilling and eating together. We got back and all of us crashed in deep sleep within minutes!

What else can we motorcyclists ask for!

OTR Ujjain Ride Day 2 | 18-Jan-2026

Sunday started on a beautiful note when a gorgeous Sunrise greeted me at the balcony of our Homestay.

All of us got ready by 8 am and went to a nearby restaurant for breakfast where we had multiple options to choose from - South Indian, Poha, Samose, Kachodi and Jalebi plus the perennial favourite Masala Tea. I enjoyed a hearty breakfast of Idli-Vada-Sambhar.

We got back to our Homestay, packed our luggage, loaded it on our bikes and were ready to roll at 9:30 am.

We kept chugging along in beautiful riding weather till about 11 am when we had a minor medical issue with one of our riders - Yash. A bee bit him on his neck and his body had a massively adverse reaction. Within minutes his face got all red and swollen. We tried to get him some medical support locally but none was available.

We were advised by local villagers to take him to the Civil Hospital at Petlawad nearby. We quickly reached there and he received an injection, thanks to that he recovered super quickly. Everyone heaved a sigh of relief and we continued our return ride.

We stopped at a beautiful and secluded spot for a photoshoot of the bikes and the bikers!

Soon we were back in Gujarat and had a hearty lunch which was extremely delicious as well; with our tummies full, we started the final ride leg back home.

We made one final tea pit stop and bid goodbyes with a wish to ride together soon. It was a wonderful ride indeed.

All of us reached home safely after another fantastic OTR Group Ride of 761 kms.

All my Riders were fantastic and had a great attitude. It never felt like as if most of us were meeting for the first time. That's what Motorcycling is all about. It teaches us a lot and we end up making friends for life.

Here's wishing everyone happy riding days ahead. Ride safe and make beautiful memories On the Road!

OTR Ujjain Ride Day 1 | 17-Jan-2026

Our OTR ride to the holy city of Ujjain turned out to be a truly wonderful group effort! Riders from various locations came together, creating a memorable experience for everyone involved.

All 10 of us set off from Vadodara at 6:15 PM, cruising along at a steady pace until we reached our usual pit stop near Dahod at 8:30 AM. There, we fueled up and enjoyed a delightful breakfast just before entering MP, where petrol prices are INR 14 higher. Smart, right?

We continued riding in perfect formation until we reached a charming little village, where we treated ourselves to a hot cup of tea to recharge.

Our next stop was another tea break at a highway restaurant, allowing our bodies a moment to relax before we entered Ujjain. I savored a delicious Samosa Chaat with tea here, which was simply delightful!

After a 371 km ride, we arrived at our Ujjain Homestay at 1:20 PM, feeling fully charged and excited for our rendezvous with Mahakal!

Our first agenda was lunch, which kicked things off perfectly. A nutritious and delicious meal energized us like nothing else!

We returned to our Homestay for a brief afternoon siesta before heading out to explore the Mahakal Corridor.

Most of us enjoyed the holy darshan of the Jyotirling, while Athul and I decided to catch a few extra winks before joining the group.

We wandered around and discovered a cultural festival in full swing, relishing the VR Darshan of Mahakal while soaking in the rich history of this historic temple. It was a joy to chill amidst the vibrant hustle and bustle of this popular city.

The highlight of the evening was our visit to the Triveni Museum, a recently inaugurated complex showcasing the art and archaeology of Madhya Pradesh.

Keyur joined us for dinner, which was a light yet satisfying meal of Aloo Parathas with Boondi Raita. We topped it off with hot Kesar Milk—such a perfect winter treat!

By 10 PM, we all returned to our Homestay after a busy yet enriching day, ready to enjoy a well-deserved long night’s sleep.

The Daman Duo Ride – Day 2

Day 2 kicked off with a bit of a dilemma.

Woke up at 6:30 am—not completely fresh, but not exactly groggy either. Thought of going back to sleep… lasted 5 minutes. Got up and decided: run it is.

Devka Beach was just 400 meters away—no way I was missing that.

Within 5 minutes, I was geared up, took the bike out, and rolled to the seaside.

A solid 5 km beach run later—pure joy. Last time I ran on a beach was Goa, Jan 2023. Thankfully, the sun behaved and humidity didn’t go crazy either.

Back to the stay—Yash was already getting ready. Quick turnaround: shower, pack, load up. Took a post-run fuel meal to get things even better.

9:20 am – Wheels rolling.

NH-48 greeted us with surprisingly pleasant weather. The goal was simple: cover ground before the heat hits.

We stopped at my traditional McDonald’s halt at Kadodara near Surat after a fast 120 km stretch. Two McChicken burgers—earned and enjoyed. Some traditions just don’t change.

Post that, it was classic NH-48 riding—fast, familiar, and flowing. This stretch is second nature now, and I love every bit of it.

Crossing the Narmada bridge near Bharuch? Always special. Narmade Har.

Final pit stop: sugarcane juice. Much-needed hydration, decent shade, and surprisingly forgiving weather even at 1:30 pm.

2:09 pm – Home.

Ride done. Mind sorted.

486 km of absolute satisfaction with Yash. Promises made to ride again soon—and we both know that’s happening, especially with Ladakh and monsoons lined up.

Also, first proper test for the new gear:
Solace S30 V3T Riding Pants
ViaTerra Element Tail Bag
Both passed comfortably.

Until the next ride—good health, good roads, and safe miles.

Cheers to Life 🥂
