29th November 2022

Sariska Tiger Reserve, Rajasthan, India

Spotted the T9 Tigress in her full glory, she was just so beautiful.

We are in Sariska and it's the first time we are here, to see what it's like to explore the unexplored. This untouched beauty between the Great Aravali Ranges is beautiful.

Still, the government has to do a lot of work here, there are villages inside the Tiger Reserve. We saw a few women walking in the Tiger Reserve to cut wood for their firewood. In no time a Tiger can be declared Man Eater if any encounter with these local people happens.

Also, we request to have a more robust system here in Sariska and not allow private vehicles on Tuesdays and Saturdays. We saw the Tiger just a few meters away from the main road where people were seen going with their motorcycles. Any mishap can happen and put Tiger in danger.

We were very very fortunate to spot a Asian King Vulture also known as Red Headed Vulture, Pondicherry Vulture, Indian Black Vulture.

This was spotted in the Bijrani Zone of Jim Corbett, this is an extremely endangered species which finds its place in International Union for Conversation of Nature (IUCN) Red list of Threatened Species. 90% population has declined in past few years.

It was sitting right on top of a tree which made us to zoom in our lens to the maximum limits, but very happy with the results. Hope you all like it.

In whatever forest we visit, we need to see other so many wildlife as well, Our driver kept telling us that there's no Tiger Sighting in Bijrani Zone but still we were able to spot Monitor Lizard, Wild Boar, Red Headed Vulture, Deers, Elephants etc. Tiger being the Alpha animal needs our attention but there are other Wild animals which we largely miss.
