Our Story
Hi My name is Monu,the founder of Monu Tours India.
I was born and raised in the alleyways of Varanasi – the holy Hind City located on the banks vof the River Ganges (Ganga). Varanasi is a city where time has stood still for centuries. It is what I refer to as “the real India”. We continue to live in communion with nature and we see the goodness in all creation. Our proximity to and relationship with Ganges defines us. The power of my city is so profound, that I have dedicated my life sharing its goodness with people from all over the world.
I’ve spent most of my life in this city. I used to play cricket in the twisty alleyways of Varanasi. My father, started a small business in Tourism in 1997 where I also helped him, while studying at the same time. My studies at Banaras Hindu University included English Literature, history, and politics. In 2008, I completed my degree in Instrumental Music. I am still active teaching music in my community as well as leading public performances. I am connected to Tourism since 1997.
My love for music had allowed me to be part of many local projects as well as some international documentaries. More recently I have been learning French which I can read, write, and speak fluently. I am also fluent in English, Hindi, and Bhojpuri.
