The e-Visa facility will be available at nine airports, namely Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram, and Goa. “Although there are a few teething problems in the state, the government has decided in principle to extend it to Goa as well,” the official said.

The Ministry of Tourism, Government of India is hopeful of rolling out the much-awaited electronic-Visa (e-Visa) regime by next week. According to a senior official from the Ministry, all the arrangements, including the software for e-Visa processing, have been developed and will be launched officially by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India within a week. Between 25 and 30 countries will be extended the e-Visa facility in the first phase.
