By Air✈️
The nearest airport to Gulmarg is situated in Srinagar. From Srinagar, one has to book a cab to reach Gulmarg, which will take around an hour and a half.

By Train🚈
The entire Kashmir Valley has no rail connectivity, thus, making Jammu, the nearest railhead from Gulmarg. The distance between Jammu and Gulmarg is around 315 km, making it an inconvenient means to choose to reach this tourist destination.

By Road🚖

Varanasi is a city with large number of temples. Maha Shivratri in Varanasi is celebration of Shiva’s festival in the most of the temples of varanasi. This festival is particularly celebrated by women who wish to have long life of husband ,however in Varanasi its celebarted by each and every one . Aghoris are follower of lord shiva so they also celebrate this festival in Varanasi .
How to Celebrate Maha Shivratri in Varanasi

The traditional form of Shiva Shivalinga is being worshipped in the temples. Devotees of Lord Shiva come the temples to offer their prayers. Devotees pray special prayer on the day of Shivaratri and offer milk and leaf on shiva lingam.

All day long people observe fast and people engage themselves in the preparation of various sweet dishes for the celebration . at the temple they offer Rudhrabhishekam where you will have chanting mntra of lord Shiva with priest and if you like to donating lassi as special bhang lassi are served to people who ever come to the temple .

During the festival of shivratri there are so many cultural event take place such as Dhrupad mela at Tulsi ghat , and Indian classical music concert take place in the city .
