🚨 नमो घाट पर शर्मनाक हरकत: क्या वाराणसी का आध्यात्मिक पर्यटन अब गुंडों का अड्डा बन गया? 😡
योगी-मोदी के दौर में जहाँ धार्मिक स्थल कमाई का साधन बन गए, वहीं नमो घाट पर शाम की गंगा आरती दिखाने गया तो अनुभव कड़वा हो गया! मोदी जी के वाराणसी MLA काल में उनके प्रतिनिधियों और स्थानीय नेताओं ने इसे पर्यटन बढ़ाने के नाम पर बनवाया, लेकिन ये “प्राइवेट घाट” है?
मिनिस्ट्री ऑफ टूरिज्म, भारत सरकार का लाइसेंस्ड गाइड हूँ। अमेरिका से आए मेहमानों को आरती दिखाने ले गया। एंट्री पर कैमरा होने के बावजूद कुछ नहीं पूछा। 20 कदम चलते ही एक बाउंसर आया: “कैमरा नहीं चलता, प्राइवेट घाट है।” फिर बोला—अगर मेहमान ने कैमरे से कोई फोटो ली हो तो डिलीट कर दो! मैंने कहा, “मैं लाइसेंस्ड गाइड हूँ, मुझे ऐसी कोई सूचना नहीं। मैं रोज़ जिम जाता हूँ, अगर पर्सनल इंटरेस्ट है तो मेहमानों को 10 मिनट सेटल करने दो।” वो बोला—“ठीक है, कोई प्रॉब्लम नहीं, जाओ।”
सवाल ये है: अगर मैं जैसा जिम जाने वाला गाइड भी मुश्किल से बच पाया, तो आम पर्यटक, महिलाएँ, बुजुर्ग क्या करेंगे? नमो घाट पर शाम की आरती का अनुभव कैसे पूरा होगा?�क्या ये जगह सिर्फ़ मोदी भक्तों के लिए है? 🙄

🚨 Shocking Harassment at Namo Ghat: Is Varanasi’s Spiritual Tourism Turning into a Thug’s Paradise? 😡
In the so-called “Yogi-Modi era” where religious sites are being packaged as tourism goldmines, my recent visit to Namo Ghat for the Evening Ganga Aarti turned into a nightmare! Established by PM Modi’s representatives during his time as Varanasi MLA, along with local politicians to “boost tourism,” this “private” ghat is anything but welcoming.
I was there as a licensed guide from the Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India, showing my guests from the US the iconic Aarti. No issues at entry, even with their camera. But just 20 steps in, a burly “bouncer” stops us: “Cameras not allowed on this private ghat.” Then he demands—if my guest has taken any photos from his camera, delete them! I politely explained my credentials and mentioned my daily gym routine (hey, gotta stay fit for these adventures! 💪). He backed off after I asked for 10 minutes to settle my guests—said “OK, no problem, go ahead.”
But here’s the real question: If a guide like me—who hits the gym—barely escapes confrontation, what happens to regular tourists, women, or the elderly? How can anyone truly experience the serene Evening Aarti without fearing muscle-bound goons enforcing “private” rules? And is this sacred spot reserved ONLY for Modi’s hardcore bhakts? 🙄
Worse, this isn’t isolated. Just look at this recent horror: An NRI tourist group was brutally assaulted at the SAME ghat! Thugs snatched jewelry, hurled abuses, shoved women around, and chased them with sticks and batons. Read the full story here.
