Itinerary:
We will be starting with the Fast Train from CST to Karjat (Time table given below)
People may board the same train from the station of their convenience and meet us in the train directly.

Proceed to Base Village by Rickshaw.
Reach Base Village by 08:45 am & Have Breakfast
Start Trek to Kondana Caves by 09:30 am
Reach Kondana Caves in 1 Hour, by 11:00 am
Explore the Cave and Enjoy the Waterfall
Start Descending by 01:00 pm
Lunch at Base Village by 02:00 pm
Start Return Journey by 02:45 pm

Matheran is a most splendid hill station in Maharashtra . It covers an area of 8 square kilometres in Sahyadris. This spot was discovered in 1850 by Hugh PoyntzMalet, the collector of thane district.The climate of Matheran is very cool. The most unforgettable thing about Matheran is deep forest and waterfall near by, especially inRainy season.

Dudhsagar Waterfall Trek

Preferable age group: 15 to 55

Grade – Medium. You need to walk 20kms.

Dudhsagar Falls is a four-tiered waterfall located on the Mandovi River at the border of Goa and Karnataka states. It literally means “Sea of Milk” and is considered the most spectacular waterfall of India. With a height of 310 m and an average width of 30 meters, it flows in the dense forests of Mollem National Park in the Western Ghats.
Monsoon is the best time to visit Dudhsagar to witness the force of nature.

Friday
12:45 – Catch train from Mumbai (CST, Dadar, Thane, Kalyan) to reach Pune
17:00 – Gather at Pune Stn. We catch the “12780 Goa Exp”

Saturday
04:00 – Reach Sonalium and freshen up
06:00 – Trek to Dudhsagar falls (4km trail) through jungle
08:00 – Reach Dudhsagar falls. We will spend the next 2 hrs near the falls.
11:00 – We start walking back towards Kulem (12kms)
14:30 – We will have group lunch and enjoy the delicious Goan cuisine
16:20 – Catch Goa Exp from Kulem station (Pune participants)
17:10 – People traveling to Mumbai can take passenger train to Madgaon and then catch Matsyagandha Exp

Sunday
04:30 – Reach Pune (Goa Exp)
06:00 – Reach Mumbai (Matsyagandha Exp)

Built for one of the two wives of the Vijayanagara ruler Sri Krishnadevaraya, it represents the Vijayanagara style of architecture. The beauty of the structure is not marred by the ravages of time and the many invasions in it's history. Also, there are no apparent damages to the structure. Manjolai is a small hill station in Tirunelveli district of Tamilnadu. Manjolai is set deep in the Western Ghats within the Kalakkad Mundanthurai Tiger Reserve.

Situated at an altitude of 1162 m, Manjolai is a perfect summer resort located near Upper Kodaiyar. This is famous for its tea estates and plantations. Various varieties of tea are grown in the estates. Due to its scenic beauty, climate and calm atmosphere, this place is compared with Udhagamandalam (Ooty). The serenity of this place provides people with peace of mind and relaxation.

Tourist attractions in Manjolai are Upper Kodaiyar Dam and a windy viewpoint called Kuthiravetti. Kuthiravetti viewpoint is located after the Nalumukku and Ooth Estate. From this viewpoint one can view the lush green forests of Kalakkad Mundanthurai Tiger Reserve, Papanasam Dam and Manimuthar Dam. Other important tourist spots near Manjolai are the Kakkachi and Nalumukku. The road through these estates offers beautiful and splendid view of the nature. On the way to Manjolai from Manimuthar, there is a beautiful spot called Dasan Pool with plenty of fresh water.

Trekkers can have good time trekking amidst the thick plantations.
