Sub: Check-post Rules – adherence for Karnataka, Andhra / Kerala bookings – reg;
Regarding the Check post rules Karnataka, Andhra and Kerala Governments have
tightened the procedures. Documents verification by the Check post authorities, concerned to our
vehicles cause long delay. This is due to the failure on the part of the Agents who don’t book
consignments as per company procedure. Our vehicle detentions at Check posts take up to 4
days. Though the consignments were booked properly, it fails to reach the destination in right
time. This results in customer dissatisfaction / loss of time / additional expenses to company.
Hence it is instructed to all TRs & Agents to follow the procedures mentioned below:-
1) Consignor, Consignee TIN Number / Sales Invoice 3 copies should be furnished and
attached to the LR.
2) Declaration form should be duly filled / signed in case of House Hold articles booking.
3) Stock transfer consignment must be accompanied by Form – 20.
4) For the consignments booked to Karnataka, consignor / consignee numbers should be
furnished along with E.SUGU FORM.
5) Booking articles should match with the description of the articles shown in the parties
Invoice. Other article should not be booked wrongly.
If the above instructions are not followed while booking the consignment then such goods will be
detained in TR itself without being moved to delivery point. Agent who commit mistake, will be
held responsible in case of Sales Tax proceedings against such wrong booking. TR should
implement the procedures and instructions, otherwise they will be held fully responsible.
Company will not accept or entertain any claim whatsoever that arise.
