Sathodi Falls

Sathodi Falls Sathodi Falls is one of the most well-known falls in Karnataka. It is at a distance of 25 km from the town of Yellapur.

It is not possible to visit the falls in rainy season. November to April is the best time to visit the falls. On the outskirts of Yellapur, traveling towards Hubli, is the left turn that leads to Sathodi. Part of the road is an all-weather road but a portion, nearly one-third the distance, is not motorable during rains.

This classical rectangular shaped 15 meters tall waterfall named Sathodi Falls is one of the most picturesque and hidden waterfall located in Uttar Karnataka. Karnataka in itself has few of the best waterfalls in India. Located 32 kms from Yellapur, this waterfall is fondly known as Mini Niagra which later joins the backwaters of Kodasalli dam that is built over Kali River.

The picture below is the early morning Sun rise view visited during late Januaray and the view is absolutely stunning.
