This Weekend: Crystal Clear Waters in Deraluk 💦☀️🃏
Join us for a refreshing escape to Deraluk, where we’ll spend the day swimming in the fresh waters of Gali Sherana at Deraluk. After a hike alongside the water stream, we will relax by the water, and soaking up the summer sun.

Whether you’re diving into the clear waters, playing cards with friends, or just enjoying the peaceful vibe — this trip has it all.

Nature, family-friendly fun, and great company — don’t miss it!

BUT you need to be fit! It is a Medium Hike and at some spots we walk along a narrow channel that is right at a cliff! If you are scared of hights - then we do not recommend this trip for you.

🏁 Departure & Drop-off: Erbil - Ankawa

📍 Meeting Point: Tarwika Bakery Restaurant (Upper part, 2nd side Ankawa)

🕖 Meeting Time: 6:30
Please contact us in advance if you expect to be late — otherwise, we will not wait.

We depart exactly on time unless you have informed us of your delay in advance.

Summer has officially started 🌞, which means it’s time to head to the mountain lakes! ⛰️

This Friday, we’ll visit Khinnis Dam, set up our shades, and enjoy a picnic by the lake. Spend the day swimming in the turquoise waters, relaxing, and taking in the beautiful mountain views 🌿.

We’ll provide a few paddle boards so you can explore the lake and make the most of the weekend!

You’re also welcome to bring your own shade, umbrella, or blankets for extra comfort. A limited number of life jackets will be available, so if you have your own and may need it, please bring it along.

Pack your bathing suits, bring your lunch and snacks, and join us for a refreshing escape from the heat. Let’s spend a fun day swimming, relaxing, and enjoying nature together!

Summer has officially started 🌞, which means it's time to head to the mountain lakes! ⛰️

This Friday, we'll visit Khinnis Dam, set up our shades, and enjoy a picnic by the lake. Spend the day swimming in the turquoise waters, relaxing, and taking in the beautiful mountain views 🌿.

A family-friendly day out in nature.

Spring, mountains, rivers, and green fields — the perfect setting for a relaxed picnic. Enjoy a peaceful day outdoors, take a walk through the area, and soak in the beautiful landscape.

Along the way, we’ll stop at medieval castles and share stories about the Kurdish Emirates.
Note: The sites are closed, and we will view them from outside (fence/road).

We will stay within the Governorate of Erbil.
Travel time: approximately 1 h - 1 hour 30 minutes.
