English:�Shabanie Castle is one of the historic and prominent archaeological sites in the Badinan region, within the borders of the Zakho Independent Administration. It is located on the heights facing the north of the Batifa district center. The castle is situated on the peak of a high and rugged mountain; due to its strategic geographic location, it was used in ancient times as a military, defensive, and observation point.
