Ghale Roodkhan is a castle built during Sasanian era almost 1400 years ago located 25 KM out of Fuman city in Gilan province north of Iran.It has been rebuilt several times during the history and been the location for several wars. Based on its location on top of mountains, rival troops had difficulties to invade the castle. For this reason, it has been served as a haven for local governors, their families, and troops. The interesting fact about the castle is that it has never been occupied by any invader throughout the history.
There are different areas inside the castle. It includes the Arg or governor palace, troops casern, and 40 ramparts.

Reghez Canyon is the most beautiful canyon in Iran and includes more than 60 waterfalls and about 100 natural pools. The highest waterfall is called Azarakhsh (meaning thunder) with 65 meters height and the deepest pool is Kabootar (meaning pigeon) with 20 meters depth. This valley is located near Darab city which is a small city near Shiraz southern Iran. This canyon is about 2500 meter long and the best choice in Iran for technical climbers and canyoneers. The best time for canyoning is from April to August.
