Great day today with many regulars!

Tadpole, Lili and Semi-Colon came super close to check us out

We also saw Pikachu, Bandit, Gosi, Lobster, Whalie McWhaleface(who we think needs a new name), Mathsy, Brot, Butterfly and Birch.

Then we welcome back for the first time this year Fuse, Chunk, Bubba and Saxaphone!!

One might say that we NAILED it on our solar eclipse tour!
We had to go out of Ísafjarðardjúp to reach blue skies but boy was it worth it despite choppy seas!

Það voru ekki auðveldar aðstæður á Flæðareyri til að flytja fjórhjól en það var samt ekkert mál með áhöfn gerir þetta nánast vikulega.

Fabulous day today!

We spent a big part of the day with the engines off, listening to the nature and breathtaking exhale breaths of the whales!

Today we were mostly around Luke but also met Octopuss and Glacier.

Video is of Luke diving in front the boat while the boat laid dead in the water with the engines off.

Today 14th of june started out really quiet with the bay full of fog! After an hour and 15 minutes finally we saw the first whale , Popeye feeding deep inside the fjord, we had a nice time with him before heading back in what was now a sunny bay! 20 minutes after leaving Popeye we found 4 whales, Maja, Sycamore, Turbine and Birch!
We spent a little longer time than usual on the water but the results were a great whale watching trip! Not something anyone expected after 70 minutes in a dark fog! 😍

Humpback whale "Glacier" started our day on the 12th of june with an amazing show!
Breaching, slapping his pectoral fins, lobtailing and even a couple of spyhops!

10th of june, we had an amazing morning trip where took those photos!

The day started quiet with a new whale " Kofri" being real quiet.
Kofri has this name because his dorsal fin is flat and reminds us of mountain Kofri above Súðavík, also he does not often show his fluke so to have a name based on the dorsal fin seems fair!

We also saw Our friend Luke today and Glacier.

The best part of today however was when Luke and Octopuss had a lot of surface activity, breaching and slapping their pectoral fins. They started together but then Octopuss kept on going for about 70 minutes!!!

These pictures are of our young Octopuss having fun today!

He was not seen on a later tour, probably tired after all the jumping and playing around 😅
