The company is operated by sailors, climbers, skiers, and sea kayakers that find their inspiration in the unique wilderness that surrounds them. All of our guides are knowledgeable and experienced with the local environment

. Some are born here whereas some have chosen Ísafjörður as their home. Whether you’re hiking, cycling, or kayaking, know that each trip has been designed to operate in full harmony with nature. Borea Adventures is run by Rúnar Karlsson and Nanný Arna Guðmundsdóttir. They were both born and raised in Ísafjörður. They have years of experience in all sorts of outdoor activities in Iceland and know the Westfjords like the back of their hand.

A cocktail made of thousands of years old ice!

We went on a little mission to take a bite out of the iceberg that’s been drifting through the fjords and brought a piece back to our friends at Logn who turned it into something a little more delicious.

Amazing encounter with these two humpbacks yesterday. We were just drifting with engines off and they just swam around our boat checking us out. They’ve a really bad breath. We can confirm that!
