One of our latest views from sea - Langanes, the promontory, and the orange lighthouse, called Langanesviti. Tomorrow is our last day of scheduled departures - our morning tour is sold out, but we do still have space at 19:30 if you'd like to join our last Whales & Wildlife tour of the season! After over 10,000 earthquakes in Iceland since Saturday, another eruption has just started! This eruption is taking place in the southwestern part of the country in Geldingadalir, on the Reykjanes peninsula. It's quite near to the location of the eruption from last year in Fagradalsfjall.

Kvika hefur náð upp á yfirborð jarðar á Reykjanesskaga. Loga þar nú jarðeldar að nýju, í fyrsta sinn frá því í september á síðasta ári, þegar hraun hætti að flæða við Fagradalsfjall.

This coming Monday is Frídagur verslunarmanna, which is part of the largest holiday weekend in Iceland. We at Beffa Tours will be taking some time off, so we will not be sailing for the next few days. We will resume sailing on Thursday, August 4th. Enjoy the weekend!
