„The Old Farm House“ Vegamót:
The old farm house is a 103 years old, small (30 sqm) and a very romantic cottage recently rebuilt in its original style but with the modern facilitie

s as a bathroom, kitchen, tv and internet access! It is situated in a big and beautiful garden at our home of Vegamot, just across the road from the Nature reserve by the Svarfaðardalur river. Divided into a living room, kitchen, a small bathroom with shower and a loft. A good double sofabed in the living room and matrasses for 2 people on the loft. It used to be the home of Heiða´s great grandmother for 24 years from 1924 – 1948 so it is has a good connection to its owners. Vegamót Cottages:
At Vegamót we also offer three cottages, all of them 15 sqm. Double bed and a sofabed, kitchenette, wc but no shower so far. Guests are offered free admission to the local swimming pool only 200m away. Pets are allowed in one of the cottages, but bringing pets must be mentioned at the time of booking. Price 19.500 isk pr. The Old Farm House and Cottages are at the south entrance of town, by the local sports area and swimming pool. A hot tub in the garden, rabbits for the kids as well as a playground and football field within 100 m. Dalvík Hostel:
Our Dalvík hostel, the house called Gimli, is a member of Hostelling international (HiHostels). Its situated in the middle of town, above the harbour. You find 8 rooms from single rooms to a 6 person dorm. Shared bathrooms and showers, kitchens and a living room with tv/dvd. Free wireless internet access. Only 50m to local food store, whale watcing and the Grímsey ferry. Local dry cleaning and wine store across the street. Our café/bar Gísli, Eiríkur, Helgi is 250m away on the mainstreet. Price in Gimli for HiHostel members:
Non HiHostel members add 800 isk pr. Membership cards can be bought at the hostel.
• Single room: 9.500 isk pr. night
• Private room two beds: 14.700 isk pr. night
• Private room for 3 persons (1 x double bed and 1 x single bed): 18.600 isk per night
• Private room for 5 persons (3 single beds, 1 bunk bed): 29.500 isk pr. night.

Nú segja fróðir menn mér að það styttist í opnun á skíðasvæðinu í Böggvisfjalli, ein mynd frá því 2012 og hin frá því í gærkvöldi - skautasvell á Stórhólstjörn í forgrunni.
Brátt geta því gestir skíðasvæðisins gist hjá okkur á Dalvík Dalvík Hostel - Vegamót Cottages og litið við á Gísli, Eiríkur, Helgi - kaffihús til að njóta góðra veitinga.
