Glaciers are as beautiful as they are rough, cold and unforgiving, I hiked alone to the calving area of Breidamerkurjökull that morning with little hopes to get these shots, as it’s usually windy even forecast is saying something else. There were clouds slowly disappearing, but my hands and toes went totally numb in the cold while I was waiting for sunrise. Glaciers in the winter expands in the cold which is causing them to form pressure cracks as you walk on the ice, which can be scary for the first time.
These places always remind me of power of the nature.
