Ice caves in Vatnajökull outlet glaciers

For security reasons people are advised against visiting any
ice caves in Vatnajökull glacier.
Due to increased hours of daylight and higher air
temperature the ice caves have become unstable and
dangerous to visit.
All responsible ice-cave tour operators are not offering tours
until the season starts again next November. Other guided
recreational activities, as glacial walks and skidoo tours, are
available.
Stay safe and stay out of the caves.
