Hiking across the glacier to access one of Iceland’s most epic paddling locations. Packrafts are lightweight inflatable kayaks which make this type of adventure possible- at just 4kg we can easily carry them across complex terrain to reach remote lakes or rivers. They allow us to interpret map in a new way and draw lines which were previously impossible. Pictured here are the MRS Nomad Light packrafts, optimised for speed on flatwater and perfect for the numerous glacial lagoons of Southeast Iceland.
