Last year we farewelled a beloved member of our fleet: Hekla Aurora, the Boeing 757 painted in the colors of the northern lights 💙 Saying goodbye to such a beauty wasn’t easy, so we collaborated with Aviationtag to preserve the aircraft’s livery. We have 10 tags to give away – comment to be in the running. We’d especially love to hear your memories of flying on Hekla Aurora, or viewing the northern lights ✈️ Find out how to buy a tag here: bit.ly/46bQIsg

We're busy preparing an exhibition called ‘Iceland by the world’s worst photographer’ (hi Blanche 👋) – and out of 5,484 photos taken on her trip around Iceland, we've picked a few for a sneak peek: the blurry, the crooked, and the surprisingly beautiful. And if you're in London, you can see more at Blanche's first-ever photo exhibition on September 11–12: bit.ly/4xwR3lu

From asking how to take the shot... to asking people to get out of it. Turns out, even a really bad photographer faces some very professional problems. Different skills, same struggle.

As summer drifts into fall and the nights grow longer in Iceland, our focus turns to beloved indoor pleasures like great movies, music, and books ⭐ Fall festivals celebrate all three, from the RIFF | Reykjavík International Film Festival and Iceland Airwaves to Iceland Noir, along with a special mid-October concert from homegrown favorites Of Monsters and Men. Across the country, fall colors paint the landscape in September and October, while darker skies create prime conditions for the northern lights. And when the crisp air sets in, our geothermal pools offer the perfect place to get cozy. Check out our vacation packages and come visit us – Iceland in fall is pretty magical: bit.ly/4gtQ2mK 🍂

The ticket to see the next eclipse in Iceland is officially in the making! It does have to last 170 years, after all... Every detail is being carefully crafted to make sure it's ready to be used in 2196, with our machinist Kári at the helm. Submissions to visit Iceland for the next solar eclipse (yes, in 2196) are open: bit.ly/4hTu9zC
