I honestly didn’t think I’d be nervous. 😳

I’m a total water baby. Snorkeling? No problem.

But the second they lowered that heavy-ass helmet onto my shoulders and I felt myself sink beneath the surface, my heart started racing. The guide shimmied back up to the platform, everyone else was still above me, and I realized I was down there… all by myself.

Not gonna lie… I had a little panic moment. I kept looking around for someone, anyone. What felt like 30 minutes was probably closer to two. 😂

A few deep breaths later, everyone joined me, and it ended up being one of the coolest experiences.

It’s funny how your brain surprises you. I never would’ve guessed being alone for those first couple of minutes would be the part that scared me. 🤿
