Not every hero wears a cape. But a lot of heroes carry trash bags.

As part of our Sustainability Month tradition, we once again headed out for one of our favorite activities with a purpose: beach cleaning.

Together with the legends of and , we collected an incredible 1380 kg of trash.

Usually this day leaves us feeling proud and hopeful. This year felt a little different. We cleaned a new stretch of coastline that was so full of nets, plastic bottles, shoes, containers and all kinds of rubbish that it honestly felt like we were only scratching the surface. It was sad to see.

But every piece matters. Every bottle picked up, every net removed and every time someone bends down to collect a piece of trash makes a difference. And 1380 kg is quite a big difference!

We will be back soon to continue what we started.

A huge, huge thank you to our friends , and to for keeping everyone well fed with hot dogs afterwards. ❤️

Often we get asked: what’s “better”, the Þórsmörk Super Jeep Tour or the Þórsmörk Hike?
Honestly… it depends what kind of adventure you are looking for.
The hike is one long and beautiful journey through Þórsmörk with hours on the trail and endless views.
The Super Jeep Tour is more flexible - driving deep into the valley, crossing rivers, stopping at hidden spots and doing several smaller hikes along the way.

As part of our Sustainability Month, we continued one of our favorite traditions: tree planting!

This year we teamed up with our friends from Hidden Iceland to make an even bigger impact. Together we planted 1181 little birch trees in a raw and bare landscape that really needs it. Hopefully around 80% of them will survive and help improve erosion and bring a bit more life back into the area over the coming years..

It was one of those really good days. Fresh air, dirty hands, lots of laughs and quality time together outside. Giving something back to nature while spending time with good people.

We ended the day with a little darts battle in the new darts hall in Hvolsvöllur… and let’s just say… Midgard Adventure did not exactly dominate that competition…!
