The lights started early and while driving to our viewing location. Weather and activity forecast were both great (activity 5 on a scale of 0 to 9) and we knew the sky would be full of lights. Soon after they started to move greatly and swirling around. In the end of the tour I was glad to hear of a couple who celebrated their wedding anniversary on this particular day. Certainly a day (or night) to remember!

It was the perfect night full of aurorae. We went off and started seeing it already from
the coach, stopped and enjoyed it for an hour or so. When we thought it is all over it started again by forming a green distinct stripe. We went further north to Fossatún were we hoped to see more of it and it was still on but never as strong as before.

Dear Aurora hunter! For many, experiencing the aurora is one of the things they want
to do in their lives. As I noticed on my tours many of you try use a mobile phone camera, small pocket camera or have no camera at all. Here you can find pictures of the particular aurora you have seen listed by date. I must admit I am not the best aurora photographer since my pictures are quite blurry even in calm weather but hey, it is better than nothing. I use a Canon IOS 500D with tripod. I hope you enjoyed seeing the amazing lights!
