Have you heard of Þrídrangaviti, the highest lighthouse in Iceland and one of the most remote in the world? This lighthouse is perched a top one of 4 rock pillars sticking out of the sea off Westman Islands. When it was built in 1938, helicopters did not exist and so the builders (experienced mountaineers) had to first build a road up the sheer face to the top of the pillar. Unbelievable!

If you are in Iceland from June , you must have noticed that the sun doesn’t really set. Amazing thing is there will be enough light that you can do a tour at night because during the day it can get very crowded.🌞🌞🌞
