Puffins!!!!! Bad flyers, couldn't fly to save their lives! But they compensate with an extraordinary high level of cuteness and swimming skills second only to Michael Phelps.
We only get the pleasure of seeing them in Iceland roughly between late May and late August when they need solid ground on the cliffs next to the ocean to nest. Towards the end of this month they will slowly start leaving and migrating up north to the Arctic Circle where they spend the rest of their year.

So many popular movies and TV series were filmed in Iceland, the likes of James Bond: Die another day, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, Interstellar, The secret life of Walter Mitty, Batman Begins, Star Trek: Into Darkness, Star Wars: The force awakens, Vikings, and of course Game of thrones just to name a few.
You can visit many of the filming locations, one of them is this cave the shape of which resembles the iconic character from the Star Wars franchise - Yoda, giving it the unofficial name - the Yoda cave.

One of Iceland's best known waterfalls - Seljalandsfoss. Nevermind the tongue twisting name, this one you can walk all the way around during the summer, get wet, take pictures, see a rainbow, talk to an elf if you're lucky enough to meet one in this fairy tale setting, and truly experience the south coast of Iceland.
