🇮🇸 Did you know that over 200,000 people of Icelandic descent live in Canada? 🇨🇦

👉In the province of Manitoba, in a region known as New Iceland, the 150th anniversary of the arrival of the first Icelandic settlers is currently being celebrated!

👉Icelanders began emigrating to Canada in the 19th century, fleeing the harsh living conditions on the island. They settled in the areas around Lake Winnipeg, where Icelandic traditions, language, and culture are still preserved to this day — sometimes even more so than in Iceland itself!

🇮🇸 Among Icelandic Canadians, there is a strong sense of pride in their roots.

🇨🇦 It’s truly remarkable how strong these ties have remained over the years.

📍Snæfellsnes Peninsula

🤩It’s amazing how close to the main road you can see such diverse landscapes – from black sand beaches and basalt cliffs to green hills and a glacier in the background.

And along the way – herds of Icelandic horses.
They’re one of the most unique horse breeds in the world. Small, strong, and hardy – perfectly adapted to Iceland’s harsh climate.

🌺This island has the power to surprise you in any season, but in summer, it reveals a completely different and breathtaking side.

🍀Green valleys stretch to the horizon, waterfalls drop majestically, and the sun barely sets – time feels like it stretches endlessly. The air smells fresh, lupines are in bloom, sheep roam wherever they please, and the volcanoes and mountains look like something from another world.

🌺Summer in Iceland is all about light, space, and colors that are hard to describe. Everything feels alive. Even places that seem harsh and quiet in winter come to life with wild energy in summer.

🍀But to truly understand Iceland – you need to see it both in winter and in summer. It’s like two completely different stories told by the same incredible island.

Join Us!💥and discover this beautiful island.

📍Askja is located in central Iceland, on the desert-like plateau of Ódáðahraun.

It’s only accessible during the summer months.

🔵This is one of the most extraordinary places in Iceland.
Surrounded by harsh, moonlike landscapes, it truly looks like something from another planet. You’ll find a massive crater lake and a smaller crater called Víti, filled with turquoise geothermal water.

🔵Getting there isn’t easy – you’ll need a proper 4x4 and a bit of courage, as the route includes gravel roads and river crossings. But it’s worth it. The experience is unforgettable and stays with you for a long time.

💥Perfect for those seeking a wild adventure far from the crowds.

📍Southeast Iceland

The Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon and Diamond Beach look different every single time.

Diamond Beach can completely change its character depending on the season.
❄️ In winter – massive ice chunks on the black sand create an incredible contrast, and the whole place feels raw and wild.
🌞 In summer – the beach is calmer, sometimes almost without ice, but with completely different light and ocean color.

Join Us!💥 and see for yourself how nature can transform the same place in so many ways.

❗️Early this morning, the ninth volcanic eruption occurred on the Reykjanes Peninsula. Around 4:00 AM local time, lava began flowing from the craters in the Sundhnúkur area. Increased seismic activity had already been recorded before midnight, signaling the eruption.

If you are in Iceland or planning a tour:
- stay updated with official alerts,
- respect designated safety zones.

Once again, nature reminds us how raw, beautiful, and unpredictable Iceland can be.

📍Fjallsárlón – Iceland’s Hidden Gem of Ice and Silence

❄️ If you're dreaming of a place where nature reveals its raw, majestic side – Fjallsárlón is the perfect destination. This small, lesser-known glacial lagoon in southern Iceland, located just beside the more famous Jökulsárlón, offers equally breathtaking views in a more peaceful and intimate setting.

❄️ Icebergs, calved from the Fjallsjökull glacier – a powerful outlet of Vatnajökull, Europe's largest glacier – float across the water’s surface. The silence, broken only by the cracking of ice, creates an almost mystical atmosphere.

❄️ It’s an ideal spot for a quiet walk, photography, or a boat tour among the icebergs.

Join Us!💥 and experience Iceland in its purest, untamed form.

📍Dyjandi (which in Icelandic means 'thundering')

🔹Located in the wild west of Iceland – in the fjords, where you won’t find too many tourists, but there’s plenty of open space, sheep, and breathtaking views.

🔹The waterfall itself looks like a giant white wedding dress draped over the rocks – it’s over 100 meters tall and gets more impressive with every step closer. What’s interesting is that it’s not just one waterfall – as you hike up, you’ll pass several smaller cascades that together create this spectacular sight.

🔹There’s something truly mystical about this place. If you ever find yourself near the Arnarfjörður fjord – definitely make a stop here.

And don’t forget your rain jacket :)
