Happy World Bicycle Day! Explore Iceland's dramatic black sand desert by e-bike - powered by Iceland's sustainable energy.
Black sand to the horizon, glaciers behind you, the Atlantic ahead — and a 1973 plane wreck somewhere in the middle. 📍 This is Sólheimasandur, and the ride across it is the real adventure.

Explore it by e-bike:
👉🏻 Rent an e-bike right at the Sólheimasandur parking lot. No advanced booking, no set departure, first-come, first-served. Roam the black sand, linger at the wreck, turn back when you're ready. Ideal for mixed-fitness groups who want to ride together.

👉🏻 Guided Tour: Head out with a guide who reads the conditions, knows the terrain, and brings the whole place to life — the geology, the glaciers, the story of how that plane came down.

However you ride it, Sólheimasandur is waiting—details and booking at the link in bio.

Move responsibly through Iceland's landscapes.

"The Laugavegur is a group experience in an extreme landscape, and that combination — shared vulnerability, shared beauty, shared discomfort — creates something intimate and unexpected. People arrive as individuals and leave as something closer to a temporary family."- Sölvi, guide.

55 kilometres. One trail that changes people. The Laugavegur is one of the most famous trails in the world.

Trek from the otherworldly landscapes of Landmannalaugar through the Fjallabak Nature Reserve all the way to the breathtaking valley of Þórsmörk — steaming hot springs, rainbow-coloured rhyolite mountains, vast lava fields, and glaciers at every turn.

We offer guided and self-guided options across 4 to 6 days, so whether you're an experienced hiker or looking for a guided experience with expert mountain guides by your side, we've got the perfect package for you.

⚠️ A few spots are still available this summer (June–September) — but they're going fast!
Don't miss your chance to walk one of the world's most iconic trails.

To note:
The 6-day version adds Fimmvörðuháls pass. Here, you pass the 2010 lava fields and the craters formed just before the Eyjafjallajökull eruption. Steep exposure, some chain-assisted scrambling. Worth it if you're comfortable with heights. We highly recommend this add-on to your trek.

Everyone comes for the plane wreck. Nobody tells you about the ride to get there. Planning to visit Iceland's famous DC-3 plane wreck? Read this first.

📍 It's a 7km round-trip from the parking area, so be prepared to bring more energy than you think you'll need. Windproof layers are non-negotiable.
⏱️ But an e-bike could get you there in half the time, with energy to spare.

NEW this summer! Rent the e-bike and ride yourself, or join a small guided group tour.

We've put together a complete guide to visiting the wreck — visit the link in the comments. You're welcome. 😉

Over 30 years of guiding. Countless summits, glaciers, and mountain treks.
You do it because you're passionate. Because getting on the glacier every day, with a nervous guest on their first crampon step, is exactly where you want to be. Because when someone looks out from a summit they didn't think they could reach, that moment is quietly yours too.

There's a moment that happens on almost every tour. Not at the summit. Not at the destination after 5 days in the highlands. Not in the photos. Somewhere in the middle, when a guest stops walking, looks out across the landscape, and goes completely quiet. Not from fear. From something they weren't expecting to feel. Our guides know that moment.

So when Tripadvisor ranks us in the top 10% of experiences worldwide, we don't just feel proud of ourselves. We feel grateful to every single person who trusted us with their Iceland adventure.

We read every one of those reviews. And we recognise the moments inside them.
To the guests who wrote them, you told our guides that the work they love means something. That's more than any award.

Thank you to every guide, every guest who trusted us with their safety, and every team member who has quietly made the extraordinary feel routine.

If Iceland has been on your list, there's no better time than 2026.

👇 Drop your favourite IMG memory in the comments. We'd love to celebrate this with you.
