Glacier Adventures - Private vs. Group Tour

This was a fantastic day of exploring the Glacier Sólheimajökull. The benefit of having a private glacier hike with your own guide is that you have all the time you want and can control pace, length, and difficulty. For instance, on this hike, we had just come from an Ice Cave, which is one of the more popular things to do in Iceland, but after doing the hike with our pace and spending around 5 hours out there finding fields of Ice Canyons. Everyone had forgotten about the Ice Cave and commented many times how the High Point of their whole trip and of their travel´s so far in the world had just been beaten by this private adventure. I must fully suggest you compare the price when traveling with more than 4 people, to see if it does not make more sense to just book a private tour rather than join 12 others and be controlled by a group of others who have different wants and needs. Not to say those are not good or fun, it is just a lot better if you can afford the extra charge or in power of your group size to think outside the conventional group box. Namaste Cool!
