We are excited about the Backyard Ultra World Chaampionship! We are facilitating the competition in Iceland and there are still four runners going strong in the 30th lap. When they finish it they have run 200 km in 30 hours!

www.5vhtrailrace.com Remember when there was a volcanic eruption in Iceland 2010? The ash prevented flights all over the world. The volcano/glacier has the "convenient" name of Eyjafjallajökull.

Well the route (called Fimmvörðuháls) is one of Iceland´s most popular and beautiful trails. And August 14th, you can partake in a 28 km trail race where you´ll see countless waterfalls, run on a glacier, run on the lava of the gods that was formed in 2010 and run past the volcanoes Magni and Móði.

Lastly, you will be dazzled by the magical, amazing mountainviews overlooking the Valley of Thor (Þórsmörk) into which you will descend.

Arctic Running running is hosting the race and if you wish, we will be happy to assist you with accodomation and a trip package around surrounding the race. Just send us a line at [email protected]
