Summer vs Winter ❄️ ☀️

Iceland is one of the places that is absolutely must visit not only once.
The scenery in Iceland varies greatly from season to season.
Starting with the weather, the summer is likely to be more rainy than the winter. Colors - from pure white to bright green. During summer months you can find puffins while in winter you can experience the northern lights.

Honestly, I don’t have any preferred season when it comes to Iceland. It’s impossible to compare between the sceneries even if it’s same places.
But! As for beginners, I would suggest to start with summer as it’s easier to get around and less chance to get stuck in a storm.

This is just a reminder that Puffin season is here 🩶

Look around the cliffs near the shore, watch out for the little creatures as they dig their nest in the ground. Enjoy their clumsiness and beauty.

Not necessarily a bad thing.
For me, Iceland is the perfect escape.

Which is yours?

Baby seals 🦭

Spotted randomly during a ride in the east fjords.
Luckily I had a place to stop to see them!

Although seals can be found everywhere in Iceland, it’s not usual to see baby seals hanging out on a rock just like that, and so closely.

The largest population in Iceland deserves a post on their own.

There are about 800,000 sheep in Iceland, which is double the population in the country.
The sheep have been a huge contributor for the Icelanders since forever, their wool kept them warm and their meat kept them full.

The sheep in Iceland roam freely during summer months and every autumn they collect them back in the traditional roundup - Réttir.

Don’t miss the traditional lamb soup! And if you want to stay warm and dry, get yourself an Icelandic Lopi sweater.

I’ve been to many places in my life, but the only jaw dropping place I’ve ever seen is no other than Iceland.

Iceland might not be the most beautiful, but it’s the most unique and diverse place on earth. It looks like another planet.

The colors, the textures, the ice and fire and absolutely everything else and anywhere in this country.

My story with Iceland began in 2019, since then I visited 16 times. I fell in love right away with the nature, the quietness and beauty of this amazing island.

Thank you guys for being a big part of my journey 🤍

I really don’t know how it happened, but bird photography became one of my favorite niches.

The waiting, the anticipation, the search.
Some can see it as time wasting, for me it’s time well spent.

I decided to show the motion through the birds as that what they do the most, and for me sometimes it’s the hardest time to catch them.

Sunrise at frozen Kirkjufell 🌄

One of my favorite parts of the day is when the sun rises.
For a short time the sky turns from blue to purple with touches of orange.
And there’s no better place to experience this than in majestic Kirkjufell.

What you guys like better, sunrise or sunset?
