A month later, and we're still talking about it 🙌🏻

Back in May, we hosted our very first FAM Trip of 2026, bringing together 30+ travel creators, journalists, travel agents, and industry partners from 11 different countries to experience Iceland the way our guests do- up close, guided by local experts, and fully immersed in everything this incredible country has to offer.

Because the truth is, you can't truly recommend Iceland, design unforgettable itineraries, or tell its story without experiencing it for yourself.

The first few days were packed with unforgettable moments: a warm welcome dinner, exploring the Lava Tunnel Raufarhólshellir, relaxing at Laugarás Lagoon, standing at the edge of Kerið crater, watching Strokkur erupt in the Geysir geothermal area, and feeling the power of Gullfoss waterfall- just to name a few.

And that was only the beginning 👀

If you’re wondering what to do in Iceland with kids, don’t worry, because Iceland is one of the easiest family trips you’ll ever plan. It’s safe, compact, with no language barrier and no extreme heat.

The best age for an Iceland family trip is around 5-9: old enough to enjoy glacier lagoons, puffin tours, and Icelandic horses, yet young enough to be completely amazed by a geyser erupting just a few meters away.

Summer (June-August) is the best time for families, with long days, mild weather, and all family-friendly tours running.

Save this post, and drop your kids’ ages below for a recommendation on what to book👇

Purple is taking over Iceland 💜 And it's almost that time of year again.

Lupin season in Iceland runs from late May through July - peak bloom hits in June and early July. For a few short weeks, fields of purple, pink, and blue lupines stretch across black sand beaches, lava fields, and mountain slopes right across the South Coast of Iceland, the Icelandic Highlands, and the Ring Road.

Here's the thing most people don't know: lupines aren't native to Iceland. They were introduced in 1945 to combat soil erosion after overgrazing stripped large areas of land bare. They spread fast - and they never stopped.

Today they're one of the most iconic signs that Iceland summer travel season has arrived. Fields of purple against glaciers, waterfalls, and volcanic rock. There is no backdrop like it on earth.

Iceland in June is one of the best times to visit - lupines in bloom, nearly 24 hours of daylight, all Iceland summer tours running at full schedule. Hiking in Iceland, whale watching, puffin tours, Golden Circle tours - all of it, under a sky that never gets fully dark.

Which part of Iceland are you seeing lupin season from?👇

𝗜𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲: 𝗗𝗼𝗻'𝘁 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘁. 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲.

Puffins are nesting. The Highlands reopen. You get twenty-four hours of daylight - so you can hike at midnight and chase golden light until morning. No trade-offs.

F-roads unlock Landmannalaugar and Þórsmörk. Volcanic valleys. Black sand deserts. Steaming mountains. Everything you've imagined about Iceland, suddenly within reach.

By late June, purple lupines blanket the lava fields. The whole country transforms.
This month doesn't stay open long. One month. Thousands of travelers. Infinite ways to experience it.

Don't wait - this month fills up fast. Link in bio to plan your adventure 🌌
